Hi All, I have received the evaluations from the Fall of '08 and they are posted below. Thanks to all of the students who took the time to fill out the survey. I appreciate your comments and suggestions. They give me a good idea of how I can improve my classes and make them more relevant and a better use of your time.
To avoid making it difficult to wade through the evaluations/comments I am thinking of posting only the most recent two semesters' evaluations and comments. If you have an opinion about this please let me know. They are posted for your review so that you can know something about me before deciding to (or not to) enroll in one of my classes. To those of you who have to enroll because the class is a requirement and there are no other options at least you can have an idea of what you are getting into. What do Students Think of My Classes?
I asked my classes (Fall 2007 and Spring 2008, about 200 students) if they would like to see faculty evaluations posted on line and in every class every student indicated a desire to have access to the information. So, in an attempt to be responsive to students, evaluations from the classes I teach will be posted on line for your examination. I appreciate the time the students took to fill out the reviews and for their candid comments and suggestions. I will do my best to address the issues raised and to keep doing and improving the things that worked well.
The evaluations are in their original form as received from the administration so there is a lot of detail that you may or may not find interesting and/or relevant to your interests. However, in an attempt to be transparent I included all of the information. I hope you find it helpful in your quest. If you find the information useful that is great. If there is something that should be done to make it more useful to you as a student please let me know.
